Longtime reader Gary Wilbur — a credible man who shares intelligent, moderately worded thoughts, nothing socially objectionable — last week learned that the fantasy football fun and games league he and pals created under the title “Honeymooners Football League,” this season, operating within ESPN’s site, will not be allowed to use one of its regular team names as it is racist.

Its name? In keeping with the “The Honeymooners” sustaining TV themes, it was called “The Racoon Lodge” team, as per the club that included Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton.
