Did you know that an estimated 30 million Americans suffer from some form of hearing loss? Walmart does.
The odds are that you, or someone you know, are affected by hearing difficulties. As of today, an affordable solution is available from an unexpected source.
Walmart now offers over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids without a prior medical examination or an expensive fitting. Hearing aids may be small, but this news is huge.
“A person’s ‘whole health’ is a combination of many factors, including hearing, that influence physical and mental well-being,” said Dr. John Wigneswaran, chief medical officer at Walmart, in a press release.
“Offering easy access to OTC hearing aids — something that seems quite small — is a solution that can improve our customer’s health outcomes and their ability to live better and healthier.”
Now, customers 18 or older can skip time-consuming doctor visits and peruse Walmart’s selection of hearing aids, ranging in price from $199 to $999, depending on the brand and make.
Their offerings include trusted brands such as HearX and Lexie powered by Bose.
Below, we’ve provided information on all of the OTC hearing aids available on Walmart’s website, with more coming in the following weeks.
The cheapest OTC hearing aids Walmart now offers is the Go Lite hearing aid. The Go Lites get 30 hours of use per charge, and are ideal for smaller group settings and enjoying time alone, like watching TV.

An older cousin to the Go Lite hearing aids, Go Prime hearing aids are more versatile. Adjustable controls like noise reduction and feedback cancellation give you more options with your hearing, and allow for a broader range of appropriate environments.

At the top of the line, Walmart offers the Lexie B1’s, powered by Bose. The Lexie B1 OTC hearing aids pair with the Lexie app, which customizes and saves your preferences, allowing for a personalized audio experience.
