One of television and silver screen’s biggest — and also smallest at 4’10” — stars is headed to Broadway.
Danny DeVito is headlining “I Need That,” a new production at New York’s American Airlines Theatre which has previews starting on Friday, Oct. 13 ahead of its Nov. 2 opening.
In the show, DeVito, 78, plays a reclusive hoarder named Sam who never leaves home. However, that all changes after a government notice arrives letting him know he has to clean up or face eviction.

They won’t be cheap though.
If you’re hoping to see the “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” star on Broadway for the first since 2017’s “The Price” — where he co-starred with Mark Ruffalo, Tony Shalhoub and Jessica Hecht — tickets will run you at least $139 before fees.
Most other shows have seats starting in the $140 to $170 range.
Still, if you want to catch the actor who The Wrap describes as “a real stage animal” whose acting alongside his daughter Lucy here, there’s no better way than live.

“I Need That” cast
As noted above, DeVito will be joined by his 40-year-old daughter Lucy on the stage.
Here’s what you need to know about her as well as their other co-star in “I Need That”:
Lucy DeVito has carved out a nice little acting career in film, TV and theater. Over the years, you may have seen her pop up in Mike Birbiglia’s “Sleepwalk With Me,” Disney’s “Dumbo” or the Marilyn Monroe biopic “Blonde.” Personally, we’re most fond of her recurring role as Irene in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
Ray Anthony Thomas‘ got quite the impressive resume. You may recognize the veteran thespian from “Shutter Island,” “Half Nelson,” “Trouble With The Curve” or “The Manchurian Candidate.” Keep an eye out for him in the upcoming, much buzzed about “American Fiction.”
