Woman with ‘cursed’ name issues urgent warning to parents-to-be

There are many things you need to take into account when naming a child.

You have to consider playground nicknames and political correctness, but that’s not where the process ends.

In fact, there’s one major factor that’s quite often overlooked. Initials.

One woman is urging expectant parents to listen up – and her plea has now gone viral on TikTok.

“Cursed”

Could you imagine feeling “burdened” by your initials?

For Emily Windham, it’s a reality when she comes across an important document, and her rant about her “cursed” name has struck a relatable chord.

“When you’re deciding what to name your kids, look at what their initials are going to be,” she said.

“Every time I have to initial a document, I have to write ‘EW’. All these little initial lines just say ew, ew, ew, ew.”

Considering it’s the sound you make when something is gross, we can see how ‘EW’ doesn’t make poor Emily Windham feel wanted or pretty.

She blames her parents for her initials

The 23-year-old said her name was almost Alexia, which would have made for what she considers ‘AW’ worthy initials.

“That’s so cute,” she said.

However, her father didn’t want bullies to tease her with the nickname “Sexy Lexy.”

But clearly, her parents missed the innuendo that comes with ‘Emily.’  She joked: “Okay, well, you missed Easy Em.”

A viewer responded in the comments, sharing that she knows someone with the same initials:

“My administrator at school has the initials EW and they have to sign whenever someone leaves school, so in my attendance sheet it just says “went home sick, ew” over and over.”

“Mine is BLT”

She’s not the only one who has been burned.

Thousands of viewers shared their own hilarious stories.

“Mine initials are ‘BLT’ – deliberately – because it was my dad’s favorite sandwich,” one shared.

“My administrator at school has the initials EW and they have to sign whenever someone leaves school, so in my attendance sheet it just says “went home sick, ew” over and over,” one person commented under the video. Tiktok/@emwindham

“My ex’s initials are VAJ,” added another.

And this person has a great take (whether it’s true or not): “Mine is TNT, so I’m dynamite.”

While the comment section is filled with damning – but hilarious – letter combinations, one thing is abundantly clear.

Parents-to-be, initials can spell out trouble for life!
