An unidentified 29-year-old man shared his long list of reasons he will not date certain women, sparking huge on-line debate.
He titled the Reddit post, “Are my dating dealbreakers too strict?”
He notes he has been “actively dating” since he turned 18 and he’s met a “wide array of women” which led him to construct the not-to-do list. He says it helps him “determine suitability early in the dating stage.”
Females need not apply if they:
- Cheated in a past relationship
- Take recreational drugs on a regular basis
- Have an incurable sexually transmitted disease
- Are currently in a situationship or have a friend (with benefits)
- Have low standards of hygiene
- Are a sex worker (whether online or in person)
- Have extreme political views
- Are a single mother
The list drew supporters and detractors, and plenty of advice.
“Just be aware, the older you are, the more baggage everyone will inherently have,” said one commenter.
“That’s all normal stuff. If you say it out loud to another person it makes you sound like a bitter hater though. Keep your list in your head,” advised pureplantlust.
