Indianapolis (Wish) — The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Listed seven confirmed cases of monkeypox in Indiana on Monday.
The latest case has been added since Friday.
The Indiana Department of Health reported that the state’s first case of monkeypox in Indiana was identified on June 18., The state government has not made any additional announcements about monkeypox since the first case was reported, so it is not known where the cases occurred. The state did not say where the cases occurred.
Gary officials reported the state second case,
Cases of monkeypox usually begin after five to 21 days with fever, headache, chills, and body aches. Within one to three days after symptoms begin, the patient develops a rash. The disease lasts for two to four weeks. Patients are considered infectious until all the scabs from the rash have fallen off.
