A wedding singer has been slammed for a racy outfit worn to a ceremony, with some saying she looked more suited to a strip club than a classy nuptial celebration.
Ortal Edri took to TikTok to share a video that showed her belting out Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” at a recent wedding while the bride and groom made their way into their reception.
“I am always moved to tears when I sing the entrance song at weddings,” the British crooner captioned her clip.
However, thousands of viewers appeared uninterested in Edri’s powerhouse vocals, instead focusing on the figure-hugging frock she was rocking, which was complete with a thigh-high split.
“Great singing but the dress is inappropriate and I would be mad as hell if I were the bride,” one pundit wrote beneath the video, which quickly went viral.
Others were less polite in their replies, including one detractor who declared: “You the wedding singer, not the stripper.”
“She does look stunning but her vagina is also almost out which a lot of people would probably be uncomfortable with at their wedding,” another remarked.
“I would need the kitty covered at my wedding…please & thank you,” an additional commenter tartly remarked.
However, others leaped to Edri’s defense, saying she looked stunning and her vocals were on point.
“Anyone commenting about her dress being inappropriate: I hope you never experience joy ever in your long miserable lives,” one defender remarked.
“The comments about the dress are not it,” a second snapped. “Focus on her talent bro. She’s amazing.”
Edri later clarified that the bride had given her permission to wear the black frock, saying: “Of course she knew!!”
