Airline crew blasted for ‘life threatening’ photo shoot on plane wing

Their careers certainly aren’t taking off.

Members of a Swiss International Air Lines cabin crew killing time before departing Buenos Aires earlier this month were caught on camera recklessly dancing and posing on the wing of a Boeing 777 shortly before the massive aircraft took off for Zurich, Central European News reports.

Video footage shot by a traveler waiting in the terminal shows a female member of the crew twirling and posing like a Disney princess before waving at a male attendant to join by walking through the open emergency exit.

The male attendant was then seen doing muscle-manlike bodybuilding poses next to the woman, while another male crew member also pops out for an apparent photo op.

Two members of the ground crew on the tarmac are also shown posing for a picture in front of the plane’s engine.

Without delay, airline brass quickly denounced the wing-side stunt, saying in a statement that “this behavior will not be tolerated.”

“What looks like fun in the video is life-threatening,” said Swiss spokesman Michael Pelzer.

“The wings of the Boeing 777 are about five meters [16.4 feet] high. A fall from that height onto the hard surface can be devastating.”

Pelzer doubled down, saying that crew should only ever set foot on a plane’s wings in the event of a dire emergency — such as evacuations, or examining the safety of the aircraft — as he continued to blast the employees’ pie in the sky behavior.

Airline brass, including Vice President Martin Knuchel, called for a ground stop on this type of tomfoolery, saying he was “angry and disappointed.”

Even other members of the flight crew, who withheld their names, quickly shot down the actions of their peers.

“I thought, ‘What the f – – k? Is that real?” one 33-year-old colleague said, adding that uniform stripes indicate a cabin chief had partaken in the stunt.

“In addition to the fact that it is of course extremely dangerous, it is simply unprofessional.”

The flight’s other chief, a 39-year-old, added that they were “ashamed of my crew.”

“If that had happened to me on the ground in Zurich, I would have sent these people straight home.”

This news comes shortly after flight attendants bashed passengers for a recent uptick in near-psychotic behavior.

That includes the viral episode involving Tiffany Gomas, a woman who went on a tirade and later assaulted a man after having a “Twilight Zone”-esque fear that a phantom was onboard her flight from Dallas to Orlando, Florida.
