There’s nothing spookier than a boo-rito, and now you can dress like one.
Chipotle fans can now dress up as their favorite part of the fast-casual chain for Halloween with its first-ever costume collection.
On September 6, Chipotle and Spirit Halloween will be dropping meme-inspired costumes featuring a Chipotle napkin, fork, water cup, burrito and a to-go bag.
Many people love to come up with their own Halloween costumes idea, often based on memes or pop culture moments — and there’s plenty of memes of fake Spirit Halloween costumes on the internet that tap into this.
“We’re no strangers to memes at Spirit Halloween. Year after year, we are blown away by the passion and creativity we see from fans sharing their take on popular Spirit Halloween memes – and we’re beyond thrilled to be teaming up with Chipotle to bring some of those creations to life,” Kym Sarkos, Executive Vice President at Spirit Halloween, said in a statement.
Two years ago, Chipotle got in on the trend, posting a fictional “Chipotle Fork” costume and later followed up with a mock “Chipotle Napkin” costume.
Chipotle has now teamed up with Spirit Halloween to make these fake ideas, plus a few others, come to life.
“Our popular Halloween tradition, Boorito, began with a burrito-themed costume contest and now we’re taking it to the next level with the launch of our first-ever costume collection in collaboration with Spirit Halloween,” Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle, said.
“In addition to these bodysuits, we will be treating fans to a scarily great offer next month.”
The first-ever official Chipotle Halloween costumes range in size from adult small to XL and retail for $39.99 in the U.S. and Canada. They will be available exclusive on the Spirit Halloween website and at select Spirit Halloween retail locations in Chicago, Denver, New Jersey, Los Angeles and New York, while supplies last.
Here are the five unitard options:
- Chipotle Fork: “The fork. The myth. The legend. Flex on your friends this Halloween in our Chipotle Fork Costume (no, literally.. gotta flex those arms to hold that pose all night lol good luck),” the description reads.
- Chipotle To-Go Bag: “This is your chance to look tatted up like a Chipotle bag without the commitment. Your go–to fit for Boorito: the Chipotle To Go Bag bodysuit.”
- Chipotle Burrito: “No need to explain what you are this year with this iconic Chipotle Burrito Costume. Warning: May cause main character treatment.”
- Chipotle Water Cup: “This one’s for the people that ask for a water cup then “accidentally” fill it with lemonade: Chipotle Water Cup costume (lemonade sold separately).”
- Chipotle Napkin: “It’s giving group costume. Clean up nicely this Halloween with the official Chipotle Napkin Costume.”
Fans on Instagram couldn’t get enough in the comments section, with many asking, “what the fork?”
“I’m going to collect them like horcruxes,” one person quipped.
“I wanna be foil wrapped,” another said.
“That honestly scares me and I would run,” someone joked.
“Looks like the kind of ran out of ideas when it came to the ‘fork’ costume,” another pointed out.
“Yay! I hate this! ❤️” one commented.
