A farmer from South Australia has pleaded guilty to one charge of bestiality.
Shaun Wayne Taylor, 49, appeared before Mount Gambier Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he admitted to the act which took place at his Lowan Vale property, near Bordertown, on September 8, 2023.
Mr Taylor was arrested in December after police searched his electronic devices during an unrelated investigation, The Advertiser reports.
The type of animal Mr Taylor had sex with has not been disclosed.
He was granted bail in February and requested to be allowed to return to his farm so he could “look after his animals”.
This request was denied.
Magistrate Koula Kossiavelos suggested Mr Taylor employ farmhands to take care of his livestock.
Mr Taylor will appear before the District Court for arraignment in October.
