My Stanley cup saved me from being shot: ‘One of the scariest days of my life’

Not only are Stanley cups fireproof, but they’re apparently bulletproof, too.

A Steubenville, Ohio woman has claimed that her Stanley cup saved her life after a stray bullet shot through her home.

“POV: My Stanley Cup saves my life when there’s an [shootout] in front of my house,” wrote 22-year-old Rachel, AKA @xo._ray on TikTok.

In the 8-second clip posted on Feb. 12, now with over 3.1 million views, Rachel showed the damage the stray bullet did to the home she shares with her partner.

On Wednesday, Rachel, who withheld her surname in the interest of safety, told The Post, “It was a freak accident, honestly, but my fiance David and I were talking about something [then] we heard about 7 or 8 gunshots and then one really loud bang it entered my house.”

While the shootout happened outside her home, one bullet found its way inside, leaving a massive hole in her wall.

“[A bullet] ricocheted off the Stanley, which was right in front of me, and sent it flying through my perfume into my kitchen,” Rachel added.

Unlike the other items in her home, the white Stanley Cup only suffered a bruise when faced with the bullet. The viral cups are made of durable stainless steel and BPS/BPA-free, according to the Stanley website.

Rachel and her fiance were terrified from the unhinged moment.

“We just hid until the police arrived and told them to come collect the bullet,” Rachel added.

Many people were shocked and impressed by the cup’s strength.

“I’m convinced Stanley’s are immortal,” confessed one person. “First a car fire, now a shootout.”

“Stanley really out here saving lives,” wrote another.

“It bounced off the cup,” commented a shocked watcher.

In a follow-up video, she revealed more images from the scene, such as the exterior of her home where the bullet entered, the stray bullet on her kitchen floor and authorities investigating the scene.

“One of the scariest days of my life,” she captioned the clip.

Previously reported by the Post, Danielle who goes by @danimarielettering online, shared a video of the inside of her car that was on fire the day prior, and everything was visibly destroyed — except for her Stanley cup.

The cup was resting in the cupholder as if nothing happened and it was never touched.

“Everybody’s so concerned about if the Stanley spills, but what about if it melts?” she said in the video. “Fire yesterday. Still has ice in it.”
