We’re already counting down the days to an “Easy Goin’ Evening.”
Stevie Wonder just announced his international ‘Songs In The Key Of Life Performances’ Tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his seminal album.
While out and about, the legendary 76-year-old will take his Grammy-winning record to arenas all over the U.K., France, Denmark, Ireland and the United States as well as a handful of other countries from October through December.
To kick off the North American leg of the run, the “Sir Duke” singer will make his sole Big Apple stop when he drops into NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Nov. 19.
“Songs In The Key Of Life,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and won the Grammy for Album of the Year, spawned the ubiquitous mega hits “Isn’t She Lovely,” “I Wish,” “As,” “Pastime Paradise” and, of course, “Sir Duke.”
As fans likely recall, quite a few songs from Wonder’s 18th studio album have had second lives via Hip-Hop decades after the record’s release. “I Wish” was sampled heavily on Will Smith’s 1999 “Wild Wild West,” 50 Cent used “Village Ghetto Land” for his “Ryder Music” and, most famously, “Pastime Paradise” served as the inspiration for Coolio’s smash “Gangsta’s Paradise.”
Prior to this upcoming outing, Wonder last headlined at MSG in October 2024.

“Wonder fittingly ended the show with the two closing tracks from ‘Songs in the Key of Life’: ‘As’ and ‘Another Star.’ Beginning the latter, he sang, ‘For you, there might be another star/But through my eyes, the light of you is all I see.’ But for us, there will never be another star like Stevie.”
Tickets officially go on sale to the general public for the North American concerts on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster (except for Detroit where inventory goes live on Sept. 15) but are available now on trusted secondary market sites like StubHub.

Does Stevie Wonder have a new album on the way?
According to the Instagram account @StevieWonderLegacy (which is not Wonder’s official profile), he does. They wrote:
More than two decades after “A Time to Love,” Stevie Wonder says a new album is coming in 2027. The title has been circulating for years. “Through the Eyes of Wonder” has surfaced, disappeared, been reshaped, then mentioned again. At some point it stopped feeling like a record and started to feel like a rumor. Now it finally has a horizon.
Part of the pull comes from what might be inside. Early reports suggest unreleased material from the Songs in the Key of Life period, which complicates the idea of a “new” Stevie Wonder album. This isn’t just a late-career statement. It’s potentially a splice between eras, between a creative peak that still defines the genre and a present that has mostly unfolded off record.
After Characters (1987), the releases thinned out. Not a collapse, more a withdrawal. Fewer albums, longer gaps, a shift away from the studio as the primary space of expression. The catalog froze in time while the reputation kept expanding. That’s what makes this different. Not the possibility of another hit, not even the idea of a comeback. Just the fact that he’s choosing to add something new to a body of work that has, for a long time, felt complete.
