FIFA has charmed World Cup fans with a new personalized promo.
Bank of America’s free Fan Bands have officially become the “must-have” accessory of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The bank is dropping coveted charm bracelets at fan events across all 11 host cities.
Fans are flocking to customization stations at fan events and stadiums, choosing between 140 collectible beads to put on their bracelet and trading charms with other fans.
The Fanfest BofA booths allow fans to pick out their color band, size and five different charms for free. So far, more than 2 million BofA Fan Bands and 10 million beads have been distributed, according to their website.
Fans in NYC can snag a Lady Liberty or yellow taxi charm. And on the West Coast, there’s a Golden Gate Bridge and surfboard charm. Other popular charms include a Philly cheesesteak, the Liberty Bell and a miniature World Cup trophy.
Fans have been waiting in 2+ hour-long lines for their band, determined to commemorate their 2026 World Cup experience with memories of their match city.
Bank of America wants to spread the love amongst fans and give people access to snagging a bracelet, so they’re launching a mobile bus tour on the East and West coasts to deliver BofA Fan Bands to soccer lovers.
Fans can also select pre-made, matchup-themed BofAFan Bands at different stadiums for different games.

Bank of America has also partnered with Vet Tex and FIFA to provide free World Cup tickets for Veterans, Current Military and First Responders, providing $2.25 million towards tickets.
Despite the large production of bands and charms, fans are still being shut out from getting them.
Fans are happy to have the bracelet as a keepsake to remember their World Cup experience. “Love mine from Boston! I had to get in line 1 hr early to get into the venue, then run to the line for bracelets, waited 10 min:) ” Early bird catches…” said one Instagram user about her bracelet.
“I waited 3 hours for my bracelet. SO WORTH IT!” said another.
Even though the bands were free, those who got their hands on them are selling them on eBay and Poshmark, with some selling for as high as $500.
With tickets being thousands, having fun collectible items for fans that are free, especially international tourists visiting the States for the first time, makes it all the more worth it for them.
Some other sought-after items from World Cup stadiums and FIFA Fan Festivals are World Cup-themed blind bags with miniature mascot toys that are host country mascots, soccer balls and referees. The Coca-Cola souvenir cup has also been popular since each cup is customized for the specific match, featuring the teams playing that day, and they are only $4.
