It’s Scorpio season: The scorpion’s 2022 finance, fashion and fitness trends

Welcome to Scorpio Season, the time of the year where we dive deeply into the thick of autumn.

As the days are getting shorter and the nights become longer, we know we are moving toward the colder and darker periods of the year.

The mighty Sun will dance in the abyss of Scorpio from October 23 until November 21. Scorpio is symbolized by the scorpion and embodies our desire for intimacy, passion and union.

This Water sign focuses us on sexuality, trust, vulnerability and our shadow selves. Scorpio is the eighth zodiac sign on the wheel, known as a Fixed sign. As a result of the scorpion’s polarity with Taurus, it also holds ties to banks, wealth, assets and investments.

Ruled by Mars and Pluto, Scorpio’s energy also ties to power, death, rebirth and transformation. Take a deep dive into global trends and predictions for what’s hot—and what’s not in Fashion, Music, Fitness, Hair, & Finance (Cryptocurrency & NFTs!), Beauty, Culture, Travel, Social Impact and Film for Scorpio Season 2022! Do not miss it!

What’s In: As the Earth turns away from the sun, we embrace autumn.  Nature alerts us to the change in season as the leaves on the trees burn brilliant hues and ultimately shed their skin for winter. We notice the sun rising later and setting earlier. As the days shift from light to dark, we too embrace our shadow selves and enter into Scorpio Season.  We observed similar trends on the Spring 2023 ready-to-wear runways.

We saw the intensity of Scorpio Season play out by fashion designers as their designs displayed the concept of light and shadow from Alexander McQueen, Lowe, Schiaparelli, Comme des Garcons and Rick Owens Valentino. Click through to find your favorite Scorpio themed Spring Runway look: are you embracing your dark shadowy side? Or are you bringing in the light this season like Coperni did with Bella Hadid’s final look of the show with a pure-white, spray-on dress that pushed fashion boundaries to the limit and blew up the fashion world?

What’s In: This month’s pick for Scorpio Season is a trip to the infinite with Ed Sheeran’s: “Celestial.”

“You make me feel like I’m drunk on stars and we’re dancing into space.” This song embodies romance, passion, intimacy, sexuality and transformation. All hallmarks of the Scorpio flow, with Mr. Sheeran delivering one of his better vocal performances in a long New York minute! “Let’s make tonight go on and on.” Yes! Make that magic, Ed! It is well worth adding to your playlist!

The Scorpio man embodies passion, power, intensity, sexuality, intimacy and transformation.  Scorpio is ruled by both Mars, the planet of war, and Pluto, the planet of rebirth.

Let’s celebrate the Scorpio man with a rebirth of your hairstyle and grooming routine!  If you have worn your hair short, think about growing out your hair.  If you have never worn a beard, consider growing out your facial hair.  Think of your rebirth as a new beginning in your grooming routine.

What’s In: As Scorpio season arrives, so does the feeling of rebirth and power. Sometimes that transformation takes time and can feel draining. Nonetheless with any drastic change, there’s usually a light at the end of the tunnel if you know how to handle the change and transform it into something beneficial for yourself!

As most of us are fully aware, the global economic climate is not doing terribly well.  It was announced by Bloomberg with current data that the USA will “100%” go into a recession within the next year.  This was a huge blow to our financial market. However, as terrible as that may sound, a huge buying opportunity may be approaching. Channel your Scorpio side to intensively research over the next couple months on which asset class speaks the most to you and where you want to be watching as the cards fall into place. We can use this transformative time to our advantage and make money off of the change.

Special Tip:  It can be very scary to invest when times are uncertain.  Even big players in the game are nervous on what to invest in and are scared to pull the trigger. It cannot be overstated that throughout time, these are the moments when real money has always been made. As they say: “Invest in what you know.” Trust your gut, be ready to take advantage and push through the fear.

What’s In: Bold, mysterious yet charming Scorpio. This passion-driven zodiac sign is ruled by Mars, which will station retrograde mid-season. We’ll have to dig down to Scorp’s roots for counter-balance during its shadow. The story goes that this constellation was born from his ashes after he died in battle alongside Orion, son of Poseidon. Do you see where this Greek mythology bridge is taking us? Mykonos of course! While most are contemplating their creepy crawly costumes, this arachnid’s focus is on transformation and regeneration. Right now, the Greek Islands are a travel treasure. Water sign Scorpio energy can flourish while surrounded by the depths of the sea. The crowds have thinned and the weather is cool and comfortable.

Plus, the beach clubs throw end-of-season soirees with vibes curated by world-class DJs and majestic sunset views. Daytime island life invites you to the whitewashed maze of shops and restaurants in Mykonos Town. Sandwiched between rows of windmills and the sea, this iconic area houses everything from hand crafted travel trinkets to your favorite luxury handbags. The restaurants and bars line the waterfront, so make sure to indulge in the fresh seafood at sunset and dance under the moonlight. It’s not a coincidence that transformative Scorpio season falls in line with the change of seasons. (pun intended) Garner the passion to sting on!

What’s In: Scorpio energy encourages us to seek out experiences that deliver passion and intensity. Not just any travel destination will suit your desires right now—you are searching for something that will fulfill that passion for life and deliver a powerful, life changing experience! I cannot think of a more fitting destination for Scorpio season than Iguazu Falls.  Iguazu falls is the largest waterfall system in the world and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located on the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Iguazu is a place of tremendous natural beauty and will provide a welcome respite for persson searching for something out of the ordinary. It is truly a life-changing experience that will allow you to reflect on your inner self and take in the power, beauty and intensity of the natural world around you.

With Scorpio being a Water sign, this has to be the ultimate destination that is literally all about water and the power of it! When traveling to Iguazu, you can opt to visit from either the Argentine side or the Brazilian side. Both have their own pros, but the Argentine side offers more trails for exploring. It may even be worthwhile to spend some time in Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo or Buenos Aires before moving on to Iguazu Falls.  With visas no longer required for U.S. Passport holders in either Argentina or Brazil, a trip to Iguazu Falls is easier than ever. Scorpio season also falls into late spring in South America, so it is the perfect time to visit with temperatures being more moderate than during the height of summer.

While there are plenty of quality hotels on both the Argentine and Brazilian sides, the ultimate place to stay while visiting the falls is the Gran Meliá Iguazú, the only hotel inside the National Park on the Argentine side. Staying here will provide the best experience for visiting the park as you are literally IN the park. This is the ultimate in rustic luxury, which is right in the Scorpio’s wheelhouse. Overall, Iguazu is a must on most people’s bucket lists, so why not take the leap and experience everything this amazing place has to offer.

What’s In: Scorpio season through a philanthropic lens is all about recovery and renewal. As the season is ruled by Mars, the planet of war and Pluto, the planet of rebirth, it is normal to experience push/pull in opposing directions. Dive in with conviction to reevaluate, put a plan in place and start anew until your heart and mind seizes battle to reach equilibrium. Once there, lean into solitude and contentment to move forward better.

This month’s spotlight is Encircle, a nonprofit that envisions a world where LGBTQ+ children and young adults thrive. Encircle is expanding to build eight additional community homes in four conservative states (Nevada, Ohio, Arizona, Utah) to meet the needs of at-risk youth via lifesaving programming, therapy and support. With assistance from industry leaders like Apple’s Tim Cook, the owners of The Utah Jazz and best-selling pop rock band Imagine Dragons, the organization is set to reach half of its $8 million fundraising goal.

Scorpio’s energy invites us to explore transformative energy. Therefore charitable efforts have the power to create long-standing ripple effects for impactful change. Help is needed. LGBTQ+ youth are especially vulnerable to anxiety, depression and suicide. The services offered at Encircle have a success rate of 98%. Consider making a donation or volunteering.

What’s In: Dirty Harry (1971)

The idea of a rogue cop may have aged poorly since 1971, but Clint Eastwood’s titular character remains among the most iconic of his roles. In this early-70’s classic, Detective Harry Calahan pursues the elusive “Scorpio” killer. It is inspired by the real life zodiac killer.
