Millennials are easy to spot in the wild due to these party habits, according to a TikToker.
“How to spot Millennials vs Gen Z at a party,” read text atop a video from htetismommy posted over the summer that has more than 95,000 views.
Millennials are on their phone “24/7” whereas Gen Z is “always dancing for no reason,” according to the social media user.
The TikToker said millennials wear “heavy makeup” but Gen Z wears a hint of “just tint.”
Millennials opt for high heels and Gen Z are happy to roll up to the club wearing sneakers.
The TikToker said a millennial caught on club CCTV would be seen canoodling with another person, while Gen Z dances by themselves.
Not everyone in the comments section of the video agreed with htetismommy.
“I definitely think it’s the exact OPPOSITE 😭😭,” one wrote.
“Lololol Gen z wears SO MUCH MAKEUP,” said another.
“It’s literally the other way around. Yall on TikTok in the clubs and we were grinding and all on each other vibing with the music lol 😭#1989,” said a third.
Gen Z is also trolling millennials for dancing with their hands up, which is hands down the biggest giveaway of their age, according to a TikToker.
Gus Rosas, 32, who goes by goodforthegooch on TikTok, posted a video about a recent reaction to his dance moves in the club that has topped 2.6 million views since being posted earlier this month.
“You know it’s giving away your age,” he said a Gen Z girl told him. “You keep putting your hands up.”
He said every time he’d put his hands up and say, “Woo,” the girl would forcibly put his arms down.
“I’m too old to be in this club,” said a deflated Rosas.
His followers rushed to his support in the comments section of his video.
“We were literally instructed to put our hands in the air like we just don’t care. It’s our legacy,” one person said.
“But how will the roof get raised?” Joked another.
“But how will anyone know if I’m a true player if I don’t throw my hands in the air??” Quipped a third.
“I never heard a song say put your hands down,” a fourth chimed in.
