Gen Z’s favorite restaurant revealed in recent survey

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Chick-fil-A has been revealed to be Generation Z’s favorite place to grab a bite in a recent survey.

According to a Piper Sandler study, 14,500 teens in 47 states were asked what their fave restaurants were.

Fifteen percent of participants noted that the fast food chain famous for its breaded chicken, waffle fries, mac ‘n’ cheese and Southern hospitality was a treasured eatery.

About 12% of teens loved Starbucks, followed by Chipotle (7%), McDonald’s (6%) and Olive Garden (3%).

QSR Magazine recently did a separate poll, claiming that Chick-fil-A had the slowest drive-thru service in the US.

Taco Bell had the fastest drive-thru on the list.

“This idea that we know in the drive-thru the guest wants speed and accuracy, but they don’t want to feel rushed,” Matt Abercrombie, Chick-fil-A’s senior director of service and hospitality, told QSR Magazine earlier this month.

The chain has been under fire in the past, including an incident when two Chick-fil-A employees in Tennessee were canned after a video showed one of them spitting into the batter.

A clip went viral earlier this month and appeared to show a worker mixing the chicken batter as she added another ingredient: her saliva.

The manager of the restaurant released a statement on Facebook at the time, saying both workers have been fired.

“We have been made aware of a video circulating on social media depicting behavior of a Team Member that is completely unacceptable. We have identified the Team Member, as well as the one filming, and have terminated employment effective immediately,” the statement said.

“We have very strict standards and high expectations for Food Safety, Team Member behavior, and our Guest Experience and this was an egregious violation of all of the above. You trust us to deliver you safe, fresh food with a team who genuinely cares about you. We fell short of those expectations here,” the Chick-fil-A statement said.
