The generational tug war continues.
Stylist Noah Altink, who goes by @noahaltink on TikTok, revealed that the way you wrap your scarf apparently can determine whether you’re Gen Z or Millennial.
In the 9-second TikTok clip, posted on Dec. 2, Altink, 26, demonstrates different ways the battling generations wear a winter scarf.
“Gen-Z vs millennial,” the fashion guru captioned in the viral video, which has 4.2 million views. “How would you wear your scarf?”
Both methods require a unique method to have it secured around your neck and take the same time to wrap around.
According to Altink, Millennials wear their scarf by doubling the cloth and pulling it through a loop.
Meanwhile, Gen Zers pull their scarf from behind, tie it around their neck and loosen it up so they can pull two ends of the garment through the neck area.
The Post reached out to Altink for comment.
In another video, posted on TikTok, Altink confirmed the correct technique to wear your scarf is actually the Gen Z way.
He demonstrates how he wraps the scarf and even shows how the garment can play as a head wrap too.
“One of the most stylish and cool ways to wear your scarf,” he captioned the clip.
The Netherlands native’s styling approach sparked a debate on which scarf routine is best.
“I do both … as a millennial. Why do we have to divide everything?” sighed one person.
“I’ve been tucking my scarves like Gen Z since 2002,” added a watcher.
“I’m sorry to say but the millennial one is way cuter,” admitted another.
“I’m still rocking the infinity scarf,” confessed a TikToker.
“That is the ONLY way to style a scarf as far as I’m concerned,” joked a Millennial.
