She “lost everything” after finding herself on vacation.
Halle, a Tennessee-based TikTok user, had just returned from a 30-day tour of Europe when she discovered that most of her possessions had been misplaced — after the storage unit where the items had been kept for several months shuttered amid her trip.
“I’m in France and I just noticed that the AirTags with all my things — that are in storage and have been in storage for the last nine months — have moved,” the solo traveler sighed in an August 12 video with over 730,000 views.
In the one-minute clip, she detailed how she tried to contact the storage company that held her items but failed to get in contact with anyone.
“But they did a fun little thing… they are permanently closed, nowhere to be found. Phone number doesn’t work. Email doesn’t work,” she shared.
The Post has reached out to Halle for comment.
“When you’re in a different country and come to the realization that there’s a strong chance your two storage units were auctioned off,” read the text overlay on the video.
Halle attempted to call the place where her two AirTags — Apple’s luggage-tracking device — now resided, seemingly at a CubeSmart Self Storage location.

She struggled to identify her items with the company, which claimed they didn’t have her stuff in their facility even though her AirTags proved otherwise.
“These people have no idea who you are,” she added in her cautionary clip. “They think your things aren’t there but you know they are. But you can’t prove that they’re your things or where they are.”
Meanwhile, she said, it was difficult to imagine that she’d “lost everything” she owned, including clothes and pricey home electronics.
In a follow-up video, she admitted, “I was delinquent on my [$150 monthly] payments,” but revealed the storage unit’s payment portal had not been working for several months.
“[The company] had issues with their payment platform back in April, so I had emailed them to set up auto pay, but they didn’t answer my emails or calls and so I emailed them back in July but time got away from me,” she added. “I didn’t see them closing or auctioning off my things.”
She then reached out to the Cleveland, Tennessee police department for help, but she claimed she was told that her missed payments gave the company the right to auction her stuff.
In a last-ditch effort, Halle found the contact information of the storage unit owner, named Nick, on Facebook.
She squealed with delight over Nick’s response: “He didn’t sell my things!” Although she still hasn’t received proof, she trusted his word since, she said, “It’s literally my only option.”
The solo traveler also reportedly settled her balance with the defunct storage business.
Despite the happy outcome, many of Halle’s followers shamed her for being irresponsible.
“Why did you send payment without confirmation that he actually has your stuff,” questioned one person.
“Girl, pay your bills,” added another. “You’re obviously NAÏVE.”
Halle concluded the video update with a message to her haters.
“You guys are so mad and for what? I was trying to pay, I really was,” she said. “For everyone who was hating, this is for you. Case closed.”
