Freeing the nipple has no age limit.
This 64-year-old woman is going to wear what she wants — or not — and she doesn’t care what anyone says.
KarenLee Poter is a comedian, podcaster and self-proclaimed “sexually-liberated, C.O.U.G.A.R. mom” with 89,500 TikTok followers, and she first went viral on TikTok when she revealed a scandalous “big milestone.”
“I went out tonight and guess what I didn’t wear? A bra,” she told her followers in a clip that hit 72,000 views.
The “over 60 risk taker” — who’s mainly known for the podcast she co-hosts with her son Cam, aptly titled “Sex Talk With My Mom” — isn’t shy to express herself, despite attracting haters.
“Yikes! Certain things we’re supposed to outgrow!” one said in response to the video. “Or a catheter!” another replied.
“Think you would have more sense at your age grow up,” someone commented on Poter’s video — which led to a sharp response from Poter.
“Oh, I guess I’ve been reprimanded. Someone please tell me what does growing up at my age look like?” she replied in another TikTok video.
Poter clearly isn’t fazed by trolls.
Many of Poter’s viewers did come to her defense, cheering her on and lauding her for being so comfortable with her body.
“Do what ever makes you feel comfortable!” one fan encouraged her, while another added, “I don’t see any problem? nothing inappropriate, you being you and that’s awesome.”
“As well you shouldn’t. You look fantastic!!!” a supporter wrote.
“You go babe,” one more concisely commented.
She’s continued to stay on-brand as a carefree, older woman making TikTok videos that mock the hateful comments she receives, all the while encouraging women to “wear whatever you wanna wear and don’t give a s–t what people think.”
The gendered agism conversation was recently reignited after CNN’s Don Lemon, 56, was hit with a barrage of criticism when he claimed that GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, 51, was not “in her prime.”
He even doubled down, saying that “a woman is considered to be in their prime in [their] 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
He has since apologized for his remarks in a post on Twitter, where he said he was “committed to doing better.”
Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh, 60, even appeared to take a swipe at Lemon in her historic Best Actress acceptance speech at the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
“Ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you’re ever past your prime,” she declared.
