Pete Davidson is seeking help to deal with his mental health struggles, according to a new report.
The comedian, 30, reportedly checked himself into a wellness facility, a source told PEOPLE on Wednesday.
Davidson made the decision in an effort to focus on his health, which has “always been a priority” for him, the insider claims.
The “Bodies Bodies Bodies” star has also been focusing on his sobriety while staying busy with work, the source told the outlet. His friends and family are said to be proud that he is taking care of himself.
Davidson has often shared about his experience with sobriety, borderline personality disorder, and severe post traumatic stress disorder.
The Post has reached out to Davidson’s rep for comment.
Davidson has sought treatment for mental health issues before, most recently in June of 2023 when he entered a facility to help with issues related to his PTSD and borderline personality diagnoses.
“Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “His friends and family have been supportive during this time.”
Never one to shy away from discussing his personal struggles, the funnyman opened up about the experience while performing at a stand-up comedy review alongside John Mulaney and John Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 10, 2023.
“I am fresh out of rehab, everyone,” Davidson shared, before joking, “I got that post-rehab glow.”
“Seventh time’s the charm!” he quipped.
Davidson also told the crowd that he had been taking ketamine, a dissociative drug that is used both as an anesthetic and as a treatment for depression and pain management.
“It was magical,” he said. “One time, I got The Wiggles to mesh with Schindler’s List.”
