A brutal “beef” is brewing.

Furious caffeine fiends are virtually storming the gates of Starbucks, condemning the coffeehouse chain for failing to resurrect fan-favorite drinks on its summer 2026 menu.

An even more egregious offense to some, however, is the company’s decision to revive its much-ballyhooed Unicorn Frappuccino Blended Beverage exclusively at Coachella, leaving folks who can’t afford to attend the highfalutin festival high and dry.

“Oh, Starbucks, we’re beefing,” declared a discontented customer beneath an Instagram post announcing the Unicorn Frappuccino’s limited rollout. “The people want the Unicorn Frap at every store. Not just Coachella.”

“I dont go to overpriced concerts,” spat a separate, equally irked critic. “Bring it back to the stores, or I’ll never go to Starbucks again.”

Moans and groans of a similarly incensed nature echoed throughout Starbucks’ social media comment section. While non-concertgoers grieved the loss of their beloved frap, other bellyachers criticized the brand for its “disappointing” list of summertime indulgences.

Diehard coffee drinkers blasted the coffeehouse chain online for refusing to revive its much-beloved chai this year, Starbucks

Starbucks officially revealed its forthcoming seasonal delights on Monday, introducing the Tropical Butterfly Refresher and resuscitating both the Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso, which first hit the scene in May 2025, and the Unicorn Cake Pop, a bakery bite that debuted in the early 2020s.

The refreshments will be available for purchase on May 12.

And while the goodies sound great, peeved patrons — those airing out their grievances online, at least — would have preferred a reboot of Starbucks classics, such as the chai, rather than the offerings it’s planning to release.

“Fix the chai & the refreshers. We don’t want the new stuff,” ranted a hotheaded habitué on Instagram.

“No Starbucks for the past few weeks… and none any time soon until they bring back the old chai,” another agreed.

The social media outrage comes just after Starbucks staffers went on strike, seeking higher pay and better treatment from headquarters. lenscap50 – stock.adobe.com

“Damnit Starbucks WTF,” an outraged onlooker yelped.

“Really disappointed!!,” barked another, in part. “Please bring back our chai!!!! Our comfort drink!!”

Controversy over its summer ‘26 menu comes just months after Starbucks baristas across 65 stores and 40 cities went on strike, demanding higher pay and workplace improvement.

The nationwide, weeks-long protest reached a fever pitch in NYC last December, when 12 staffers were arrested at a picket line outside of the coffee company’s Midtown corporate headquarters.

The strike quietly ended in February.

The Tropical Butterfly Refresher

This summer brings the debut of the new Tropical Butterfly Refresher, a bright flavor fusion of passionfruit and guava flavors with mango-pineapple flavored pearls for a layered burst of sweetness. A splash of butterfly pea flower infusion adds a vibrant, natural purple hue that makes the drink just as beautiful as it is delicious.

The Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso

Inspired by Mexican-style horchata, this refreshing and creamy fan-favorite is returning to the Starbucks menu for a limited time. The beverage is made with Starbucks Blonde Espresso and horchata syrup to create a fusion of warm cinnamon, sweet vanilla and subtle nutty notes of toasted rice flavors shaken together with ice and topped with oatmilk. Customers will also be able to enjoy the new Horchata Frappuccino blended beverage

The Unicorn Cake Pop

The enchanting Unicorn Cake Pop returns, featuring creamy vanilla cake mixed with confetti sprinkles, dipped in white chocolaty icing and decorated with a charming unicorn face.
