Fake belly buttons sold as quick fix for women who want legs to look longer

At the press of a button, you too can have longer-looking legs.

No need to visit some pricey Turkish chop shop to make one’s legs look longer. Cosmetics gurus have devised a much cheaper method of “lengthening” their stems — by applying an adhesive belly button.

The way it works is stumpy simply stick this faux umbilical cord remnant on their stomach above the real one and then pull up their skirt or pants to cover up the real one, as seen in tutorials blowing up online.

Voila, the wearer now has the illusion of legs for days.

Some devotees to this “tall-cut” smear makeup around the sticker to make it blend in more seamlessly, the Star reported.

TikTokkers billed the belly button hack as a way to make one’s legs 10x as long.

Initially started in China, this fad has metastasized to US with Ebay selling these “belly button tattoo stickers” for around $8 per sheet.

They even include pics of models before and after applying these stick-on stomach craters.

Social media was quick to extoll the virtues of the optical tall-usion. In one viral clip on TikTok, user Eli’s Favorite Toys gushes that she’s “obsessed” with this hack as it made her legs look “10x longer.”

It’s not just a tall tale either. Accompanying footage shows her demonstrating the not short-cut, which does seem to add inches to her stems.

“It’s not a fake belly button patch, it’s a tool to lengthen short legs!” gushed one user on Xiaohongshu — China’s equivalent of TikTok — along with an accompanying video.

Sheets of stickers cost less than $10 on most E-bazaars.

Another declared. “Every beauty has two belly buttons! Here’s the secret to lengthening your legs!”

While perhaps a bit frivolous and silly, the hack is a lot more affordable than other leg-lengthening procedures, which can cost upwards of five figures.

In June, Atlanta’s Dynzell Sigers dropped over $80,000 on leg lengthening surgery after getting fed up with height supremacists rejecting him over his short stature.

Needless to say, he said it gave him a leg up and he feels like a “new man.”
