‘Ozempic tree, oh how I’d love to be skinny’: We decorated our tree with needles instead of ornaments

Tis the season to be jabby — fa la la la la, la la la la. 

Wannabe svelte sirens are decking the halls ahead of Christmas. 

But rather than sprucing up their spaces with boughs of holly, they’re trimming their trees with semaglitude. 

“Ozempic tree, Ozempic tree, Oh how I’d love to lose 50 [pounds],” sang roommates Nina Iaderosa and Isabella Rosalen in an eye-popping video post, which featured the pair adoring a frosted sapling with syringes full of type-2 diabetes medication. 

The twosome unabashedly belted out their ode to Ozempic for an audience of over 457,000 TikTok viewers, remixing the lyrics to the holiday classic, “O Christmas Tree.”

“Ozempic tree, Ozempic tree, oh how I’d love to be skinny,” harmonized the honeys as they delicately placed the needles on the branches of the plant. 

The controversial once-weekly injections, meant to manage blood glucose levels in diabetics, have been largely lauded for their weight loss benefits — seeing A-listers such as Amy Schumer, Sharon Osborne and a slew of Real Housewives drop massive poundage. 

The semaglutide in diabetes meds like Ozempic and Wegovy works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone known as GLP-1. It slows down the passage of food through the stomach and intestines, making foodies feel full for long periods. 

However, a faction of folks who’ve taken the shots to shrink their waistlines have reportedly sustained severe side effects. 

Maria Rosas, a grandmother from Texas, claimed she experienced intense burns to her buttocks and genitals after self-administering the jabs in April. 

And in November, the grieving widower of Australian mom Trish Webster, 56, claimed she died from gastrointestinal illness due to the Ozempic injections she took to lose weight for their daughter’s wedding. 

Jen Fessler, a “Real Housewives of New Jersey” regular, revealed Monday that she’d been hospitalized with an impacted bowel from the slenderizing shots. Her medical scare notwithstanding, the 55-year-old Jersey girl — who’s lost 22 pounds in the year she’s been taking the drug — said she’s not going to stop. 

“I’m not afraid of Ozempic,” said Fessler. “I haven’t had a problem since.”

And it seems Iaderosa and Rosalen are also undeterred by the possible perils of the pharmaceutical. 

The Gen Z gal pals captioned their viral clip, “Semaglutidings we bring to you and your kin … We wish you a skinny Christmas and a skinny New Year.”

Tickled fans of the post applauded the would-be bony belles for their merrily petite pursuits. 

“I WANT AN OZEMPIC TREE,” cheered a covetous commenter. 

“Now this is the true meaning of Christmas,” insisted a supporter of the shots. 

“All I want for Christmas is to be able to afford Ozempic,” confessed another. 

“[Ozempic is the] only gift I’m accepting,” chimed a strict Christmas lister. 

Other holiday-weight watchers happily hailed Iaderosa and Rosalen this season’s “Ozempic Queens.”
